"The 3 Rs: Reach, Readership and Revenues"

There’s still time to book for the ASA Conference in London 25-26 February: http://subscription-agents.org/conferences/asa-conference-2013-booking-form . Non-member rates are only £440 (inclusive of meals); discounts apply for delegates from ASA member companies and librarians.

The programme is organised around four sessions covering the main stages of supply of content from authors to readers: Authoring and Publishing, Buying and Selling Content, Discovery and Metadata, and Content Usage and Quality. Also scheduled for the conference is a panel discussion involving leading figures from the academic content world which will debate both traditional and open access business models, trying to answer the question, "Who pays: government, philanthropists, funders, authors, institutions, libraries or readers?"

The ASA conferences underscore its members' credo: maintaining the highest standards of business practice, providing excellence in service and support, facilitating transfer of knowledge to a growing global audience, and helping sustain the knowledge economy. Covering the hottest topics from publishing, intermediary, library, consortia, and emerging technologies, the conference is set to continue its unique and respected tradition of debating and shaping the future of our industry.
